Meet the team at This Little Piggy Academy

Zabrina Alsip brings over 15 years of experience in early childhood education to her role as Director at This Little Piggy Academy. She has been an essential part of our team since the very beginning, starting as one of our very first Infant Teachers when we opened in 2016.

Throughout the years, Zabrina has worked with every age group, gaining a deep understanding of child development across all stages. Her dedication, leadership, and genuine love for children made her a natural fit for the Director role, which she stepped into in 2021.

Zabrina is not only a passionate educator, but also a loving wife and proud mom to two beautiful girls, who are truly the light of her life. Her experience as a parent shines through in her approach to leading our center—with compassion, patience, and a strong commitment to creating a nurturing, high-quality learning environment for every child.

Her calm presence, hands-on leadership, and unwavering support for staff and families help make This Little Piggy Academy feel like a second home to so many. We are incredibly grateful for the heart and excellence Zabrina brings to our community every single day.

We’re so happy to have Sarah Britten as part of our team here at This Little Piggy Academy! Sarah originally joined the Piggy family in 2023 as a Toddler Teacher at our former location, This Little Piggy Academy Too. After TLPA2 closed in October 2024, we were thrilled to welcome her to our main campus—where she continues to bring her warmth, patience, and years of early childhood experience to our toddler classroom.

Originally from California, Sarah has a natural gift for working with young children and building strong, trusting relationships with both kids and families. She is passionate about helping toddlers grow through play, exploration, and loving guidance.

Outside of the classroom, Sarah is happily married and the proud mom of one son, who is truly the pride and joy of her family. Her caring spirit, positive energy, and deep love for early childhood education make her a beloved part of our Piggy team.

 We are so excited to have Angel Gonzales back on our team at This Little Piggy Academy! Angel rejoined the TLPA staff in 2023 and currently serves as our Toddler 2 Teacher. With over 15 years of experience in early childhood education, Angel brings a wealth of knowledge, patience, and dedication to our classrooms.

Throughout her career, Angel has worked with every age group, and her versatility and nurturing nature make her an incredible asset to our center. She has a true passion for helping children grow through love, structure, and meaningful learning experiences.

Angel is also a proud mom to four wonderful children, who are her greatest joy and inspiration. Her experience as a parent shines through in her caring approach and deep understanding of each child’s unique needs.

 We are thrilled to have Kaylee King as part of our team at This Little Piggy Academy! Kaylee originally joined us in 2022 after relocating from the DFW area to Waco. After spending a year working as a paraprofessional for Midway ISD, she returned to TLPA in 2023, and we’re so happy to have her back!

With over 15 years of experience in early childhood education, Kaylee has worked with every age group and brings a wealth of knowledge, patience, and dedication to everything she does. She currently leads our Toddler 3 class, where her nurturing personality and creative teaching style help her little learners grow with confidence and joy.

Kaylee is also a loving wife and proud mom to two amazing children, who are the center of her world. Her experience as both a teacher and a parent gives her a special ability to connect with families and provide meaningful, compassionate care.

  We are excited to welcome Diamond Jaramillo to the team at This Little Piggy Academy! Diamond joined us in May 2025 as our Preschool Teacher, bringing with her a strong background in early childhood education and a heart full of passion for working with young children.

Before joining TLPA, Diamond gained valuable experience at other preschools in the Waco area. Her love for teaching and dedication to helping children grow shines through in everything she does—from engaging lessons to the warm, caring connections she builds with each child in her care.

Diamond’s positive energy, creativity, and nurturing spirit have made her a wonderful addition to our Piggy family, and we are so grateful to have her leading our preschoolers each day.

We were excited to welcome Samarie Guillory to the This Little Piggy Academy team in April 2025 as our Floater Teacher. Samarie joined us shortly after graduating with a Culinary Arts degree from TSTC, and while her background may have started in the kitchen, her love for working with children quickly led her to the classroom.

Samarie’s natural warmth, energy, and compassion shine through in every interaction she has with our little ones. Her passion for helping children grow and feel loved is felt throughout every classroom she supports. Although education wasn’t her original path, it’s clear that working with children brings her joy—and she brings that joy into her work every day.

In Fall 2025, Samarie will be continuing her journey by pursuing a degree in Cosmetology, and while we’ll be sad to see her go, we are so proud of her and excited for what’s ahead.

We’ve been so lucky to have Alyssa Wood as part of our This Little Piggy Academy team since the summer of 2024! Alyssa joined us as a Floater Teacher and High School Intern through Robinson High School, where she will begin her senior year this fall.

Alyssa has a natural gift for working with young children, and her kind heart, patience, and positive attitude shine through in every classroom she steps into. She came to Piggy with a desire to learn and help—and she’s done just that by supporting our teachers and forming sweet connections with the children.

When she’s not at the academy, you’ll most likely find Alyssa on the soccer field, playing the sport she loves. Her drive, teamwork, and dedication carry over from the field into the classroom, making her a valued part of our summer team.

We will be sad to see Alyssa go in August when school starts back, but we are so proud of the amazing work she’s done here at TLPA and excited to see all the great things ahead in her senior year!
